Yearly Support Request

Dear Friends,

We hope that you will join us in support of the Friends of Honolulu Botanical Gardens. We are a 51 year-old non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the five botanical gardens on the island of O’ahu.

Foster Garden, the City’s oldest of the five, is an historic gem. One of the oldest gardens on our island. It is an oasis of green within the busy city of Honolulu, with magnificent century-old trees, sweeping lawns, cool pathways, blooming orchids, and a new garden for many colorful butterflies. Come wander through the other jewels in this garden crown.

You’ll find Lili’uokalani Garden across the freeway from Foster Garden along the Nu’uanu Stream. This was a favored spot of Queen Lili’uokalani and is home to a developing collection of native Hawaiian plants.

Wahiawa Garden is cooler and moist, a true tropical rainforest.

Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden has gorgeous vistas of the Ko’olaus from the Kane’ohe side of O’ahu. Ho’omaluhia is world renowned for its collection of botanical species from the tropics.

Koko Crater Garden features an outstanding collection of plumeria and bougainvillea along with dryland tropicals. Each a very different garden!

The Friends support the gardens with plant sales throughout the year, celebrations and support for seasonal activities and classes. We have a dedicated staff of volunteers but all of these activities require strong financial support.

Please consider making a gift to the Friends of Honolulu Botanical Gardens and help our gardens thrive. All gifts are tax deductible. We hope to see you at the gardens soon.
